a diagonal between her bottom right1 and bottom right2 tooth.. her R1
& R2 teeth are so close together, and neither were wiggly. In fact,
Zoe had not lost any of her baby teeth yet.. she insisted I take her
to the dentist, the soonest I could get an appointment was on Monday.
I took her in and we came out of the dentist office with two teeth in
a cute little box! Of course, this is one of those mommy moments I'm
particularly bad at.. I did all I could do to not cry when the dentist
told me both bottom teeth should be pulled.. she quickly told me I
should wait 15 minutes in the waiting room. The dentist told Zoe she
got best patient of the day award.. Such a brave girl.. Watching eat
today, Bruce and I marveled at the strength of children, to just go
on.. Her teeth were not loose, they came out root and all... And she
just carried on. In fact, she was eating chips as soon as we got home
and by 4pm was doing summersaults off the couch. I really admire her
strength!
Zoe was so excited to have her first visit form the tooth fairy; she
received $5 (one looney and two toonies) and a purple chenille worm
thing which she had been dying for. Of course, she also received two
toys at the dentist.
At school Zoe got to draw a picture of how she lost her teeth and I
took a picture of the page and her teeth ;)
