We had the perfect "winter" day on the island, out at Fort Rodd Hill
last Sunday.. I can't believe we haven't gone out there before.. it
was perfect. A bit of history, guns, towers, walls of fortification,
a lighthouse we even got to go in, and a beach with the biggest clam
shells I've ever seen. I took lots of pictures with my Nikon, but
only one (this one) with my iPhone.
Finn spent his time throwing the clam shells back in the water and
later climbing on a washed up tree (roots and all).. he called it "The
lady"... and talked about how he was sitting in her hands (the
roots)..
Zoe spent time molding sand, searching for treasures, building a pile
of pretty rocks.
Finn asked if we could do that every day.. that or go to the hotel
(reference to our last trip to Seattle where we went to the swimming
pool every day, so much so they were dealing with rashes from the
Chlorine).
Think of the life I would have if we had such a happy trip to the
beach with my two beautiful children every day..
